Project Description
A Unique Historic Preservation Project
The Seidoff Houses project on Jaffa Street in Jerusalem features a 24-story residential tower with 122 luxury apartments, including a double-level penthouse occupying the entire 22nd floor. The project also includes a conservation building, a commercial floor with 14 stores, and three levels of underground parking.
Located near the bustling Mahane Yehuda market and the light rail route, the project presented significant engineering and logistical challenges. The primary access to the construction site was a narrow alley, which was used for delivering finishing materials and removing project waste.
The preservation process was intricate and meticulous, conducted under the close supervision of the Jerusalem Municipality's preservation architect. Throughout all stages of construction, Ashtrom Construction upholds construction safety, precise logistical planning, effective horizontal management, and strict quality control to ensure maximum flexibility. This approach spans from excavation and pile drilling to the construction of infrastructure and the building's skeleton, followed by the installation of electro-mechanical systems in each apartment, finishing work, and the landscaping of surrounding green areas.
