1963 - 1973

A Decade of Pioneering and Expansion

Established in 1963, Ashtrom Group embarked on its pioneering journey in industrialized construction in Israel, starting with the construction of 1,000 housing units. This was made possible by opening the nation's first prefabricated construction factory in Ashdod. After the Six-Day War, Ashtrom silidifies its position, contributing to the development of tens of thousands of new housing units. During this time, it also expanded into concrete production and raw materials mining. By the end of the decade, Ashtrom extended its construction ventures internationally.  

1963 - Ashtrom Group is founded by Yehezkel Nussbaum, Haim Gueron , Lipa Meshorer, and Elimelech Mayblom. 
1965 - Haim Rubin joins the group as a partner and as a representative of the Gutwirt family. 
1966 - Entry into the Construction Industries Sector.
1967 - Post Six day war, construction activity expands throughout the country. 
1969 – Launching the first construction projects overseas

In 1973, Ashtrom Group expanded its involvement in residential development in Israel. Within a decade, Ashdar was founded, emerging as the primary entrepreneurial arm of Ashtrom Group and contributing to the establishment of tens of thousands of residential units in new and existing neighborhoods across the country. Concurrently, the group's international division extended its reach into residential development in the US during this period.

1973 - The Group enters the field of residential development by establishing the Elram company, in partnership with the Israel Corporation LTD. 
1981 - Ashtrom Group begins its residential development ventures in the USA.
1982 - Ashtrom Group expanded its activity in the residential sector with the founding of Ashdar.

Its first project was the establishment of Bat Yam Mall (now “Big Fashion”), primarily focused on trade and retail. Later, Ashtrom Properties was founded as a division dedicated to initiating and acquiring income-generating properties in Israel, Germany, and England.

1993 -  Launching the 16,000 sqm Bat Yam Mall.

As the significant waves of immigration from the former Soviet Union began, Ashtrom Group was well-prepared to meet the challenge, constructing thousands of housing units within just three years—an unprecedented rate.  During this decade, the group played a key role in establishing new cities and expanding neighborhoods across the country, from north to south.

1995 - Establishment of the city of Beitar Ilit, with 1,200 housing units.
1996 - Development of a new residential neighborhood for immigrants in Kiryat Shmona.
1997 - Expansion of a new neighborhood for immigrants in Kiryat Gat.
1999 - Establishment of a private housing neighborhood in Kfar Tavor.

2005 - Expansion of the "Eitan" Port in Ashdod, extending the breakwater and adding docks.
2008 - Construction of government buildings in Haifa and Be'er Sheva.
2010 - Completion of the Carmel Tunnels.
2011 - Completion of the Jerusalem Light Rail, a pioneering public transportation project.

This decade was marked by the solidification of the group's financial strength through large-scale investments and a significant increase in equity. With its IPO on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, Ashtrom became a public company with a stable, long-term financial and capital base. During this period, the group also established new divisions—Ashtrom Residence for Rent and Ashtrom Renewable Energy. The relocation of the group's divisions to LYFE Towers further enhanced the synergy between them. Towards the end of the decade, Ashtrom Reneable Energy launched its first energy project in the U.S.

2014 - IPO of Ashtrom Group on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (ASHG stock), as part of a strategic move to expand its capital base.
2016 - Establishment of a new division: Ashtrom Residence for Rent.
2019 - Completion of the new Haifa Bay Port, the largest infrastructure project built in Israel.
2021 - Establishment of a new division: Ashtrom Renewable Energy.
2022 - Relocation of all group divisions to LYFE Towers.
2024 - Ashtrom Renewable Energy's first project is now operational—a solar facility spanning 9,000 dunams in Texas, with a capacity of 399 MW.
